In 3 steps

What is kept
The text, its paragraphs, headings, bold, italics and font size. Images, complex tables and column layouts are not carried over: to keep the exact look, edit the PDF directly with “Edit text” instead.
A scanned PDF?
Run the “OCR” button first: the recognised text then goes into the Word file.
And the other way round?
Open a Word document (.docx) in Rature: it is converted to PDF, ready to be filled in, signed or sent.
Questions
Are my edits included?
Yes: the Word file contains the document with your changes.
Is my document sent over the Internet?
No. Everything happens in your browser: the file never leaves your device, and Rature even works offline once opened.
