It is saved in your browser, on your device only. Next time, one click is enough. For initials at the bottom of every page, place them once and choose “All pages”.
Add “Read and approved”, the date, or a tick
The “Tick” tool offers common marks: tick, cross, today’s date, “Read and approved”, “Approved”. To write anything else, the “Write” tool puts text wherever you want.
Is a signature placed on a PDF valid?
For most everyday documents (forms, rental applications, permission slips, purchase orders), a handwritten signature added to a PDF is usually accepted. For an important contract signed remotely, such as an employment contract or a lease, an advanced electronic signature with identity checks and a certificate gives much stronger proof: it goes through a specialised service. If in doubt, ask the recipient what they accept.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes: no sign-up, no document limit, and no watermark added.
Is my document sent over the Internet?
No. Everything happens in your browser: the file never leaves your device, and Rature even works offline once opened.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Sign with your finger right on the screen, then download or share the signed PDF.
What if the PDF is already digitally signed?
Rature warns you: changing the file invalidates the existing digital signature.
